It empowers users to design futuristic buildings, bridges, and roads simply by describing them.

NeoInfra AI makes infrastructure design effortless, efficient, and eco-conscious.


💡 Inspiration

The inspiration behind NeoInfra AI came from observing infrastructure damage due to poor environmental adaptability — especially in flood-prone and heat-intensive regions.
Every year, billions are lost due to improper material selection, structural fatigue, and inefficient urban planning.

We wanted to build an AI-powered assistant that could not only design smarter infrastructure but also predict and prevent damage before it happens.
Our goal: Use AI to make cities safer, smarter, and more sustainable.


🧠 What We Learned

While developing NeoInfra AI, we learned how to merge AI, 3D visualization, and environmental intelligence effectively.

Key learnings include:

  • Integrating computer vision models for infrastructure image analysis.
  • Using geolocation APIs to adapt design logic based on environmental risk factors.
  • Building a 3D visualization engine using Three.js for dynamic design previews.
  • Applying sustainability algorithms to calculate eco-impact metrics:

🏗️ How We Built It

  1. Frontend:

    • Built with Next.js, TailwindCSS, Framer Motion, and GSAP for a highly animated, futuristic UI.
    • Integrated Three.js for real-time 3D visualization of generated infrastructure models.
  2. Backend:

    • Node powers AI logic, condition analysis, and report generation.
    • Integrated a placeholder Vision AI API for structure condition assessment.
  3. AI Layer:

    • Text-to-Structure Generator for prompt-based 3D design.
    • Image Analyzer Model detects cracks, rust, or damage in uploaded photos.
    • Material Recommendation Engine maps each region to the best-suited materials.

⚙️ Challenges We Faced

  • Integrating AI-generated 3D data dynamically in real-time scenes.
  • Ensuring accurate environmental adaptability from regional datasets.
  • Optimizing heavy AI computations for smooth frontend performance.
  • Designing a futuristic yet accessible interface for all user types.
  • Implementing a complete AI-based report generation pipeline.

🌍 Future Scope

  • Integration with real-time satellite and weather data for predictive design optimization.
  • Development of an AR-based on-site infrastructure assessment tool.
  • Expansion to city-scale simulation models for smart urban planning.
  • Collaboration with governments and civil departments to deploy NeoInfra AI globally.
