Inspiration

I was interesting to see how much the rate at which toddlers achieve speech milestones and language development could be improved using modern technology and linguistics.

What it does

A Baby Mobile for the Digital Age it assists toddlers with speech development while they lie in their crib. The Amazon Echo is placed near the crib with the skill activated. It helps toddlers advance faster through language development by exposing them to different words (typically nouns) that are common to their environment (relative to them i.e city they live in State, Country, etc)

How I built it

Built with Nodejs and the Alexa SDK. The skill is on Amazon Lambda
