ORION X MISSION PLANNER

The inspiration behind ORION-X Mission System comes from my fascination with space exploration, aerospace engineering, and artificial intelligence. I have always been curious about how space agencies plan missions to the Moon, Mars, and other celestial bodies. While learning about rocket science, orbital mechanics, and modern AI systems, I realized that intelligent software could help simplify complex mission-planning tasks.

ORION-X was inspired by the idea of combining space science and artificial intelligence into a single platform that can assist in mission design, trajectory analysis, payload planning, and risk assessment. My goal was to create a system that demonstrates how advanced technologies can support future space exploration and scientific discovery. The project also reflects my interest in solving real-world challenges through technology and my aspiration to contribute to the future of space research and innovation.

My Contribution to ORION-X Mission System

I conceptualized and designed ORION-X, an AI-driven space mission planning platform intended to support autonomous mission design, trajectory analysis, payload optimization, risk assessment, and scientific decision-making for missions across the Solar System.

My contributions include:

- Designing the overall system architecture, including the frontend dashboard, mission-planning workflow, and multi-agent AI framework.
- Developing the mission parameter system for destination selection, launch vehicle analysis, payload management, and mission feasibility evaluation.
- Creating algorithms for Delta-V estimation, launch window prediction, thrust-to-weight analysis, mission cost estimation, and risk assessment.
- Proposing a multi-agent architecture consisting of specialized agents for trajectory planning, payload optimization, launch analysis, scientific research, and mission safety.
- Defining integration pathways for external knowledge systems, including scientific databases, Wikipedia-based information retrieval, and large language models for mission reasoning and report generation.
- Designing future extensions such as real orbital mechanics solvers, autonomous spacecraft route optimization, planetary resource utilization analysis, radiation modelling, and deep-space mission support.
- Leading the project vision by combining aerospace engineering, artificial intelligence, systems engineering, and scientific research into a unified mission-planning environment.

Through ORION-X, I aim to create a scalable platform capable of assisting students, researchers, engineers, and future space missions with intelligent planning, simulation, and decision-support capabilities.
