Inspiration
I had a close relative who had gone through kidney transplant. His family struggled a lot to get a because even his family members were not a right match for kidney transplant. Not only this, especially in India there is a lot black market and illegal activities running around this. Even the Hospitals find these kind of situations an opportunity to make money. So, I noticed a market gap here so planned to build it but didn't got time, but thanks to this hackathon that I was able to work on my Idea.
What it does
This Dapp directly connects a donor to a patient, by making it online more and more Donors and Patients could connect and by making it decentralised the whole platform could be trusted. This is done by first registering them and then matching them according to their needs.
How I built it
I first built a smart contract in solidity and with the help of Hardhat framework I deployed It on Aurora Testnet. And with hardhat itself I fetched the smart contract and Interacted with it.
Challenges we ran into
- Connecting front-end with back-end.
- Creating a light mood of the front-end as organ donation itself is a very serious issue.
Why we choose aurora
- Cheap gas fees, we cannot expect from the user to pay high gas fees as in ethereum.
- EVM compatibility so there was mush of an effort in deploying especially from someone from an ethereum background.
- Built on NEAR which is the future of web3 so its good to be connected to emerging techs.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- We eliminated the role of any third party between donors and patient.
- Successfully managed to deploy and interact with the smart contract.
What we learned
- In depth working of full-stack Dapps.
- New techs like Aurora.
