OrganBridge is an Organ Donation Android application that helps both Donor & Requestor to connect to each other at anytime & anywhere. It also provides a Verified Certificate Facility to Donor User.

WHAT INSPIRED ME:

In health care services, Organ donation is a highly complex process and consumes a lot of time to find some donor who has the compatibility of required Organ, Blood group, HLA and Cross match report with the patient. As per a recent report, at any particular time, there are around 1,400 Indians on the Organ transplant waiting list but unfortunately there are fewer donor organs available than there are people waiting.

OBJECTIVES:

In order to solve this issue we have developed an Android based organ donation application to establish a connection link between the requestor and donor all across the nation anytime and anywhere. The sole objective of this application is to provide the information about the requested Organ and number of available Donor around the nation. The purpose of this application is to develop a donated Organ management information system to help management of Organ donor records and control the distribution of Organ and blood in various parts of country baising on hospital demand. This application also provides an Oath page and Motivational heath research articles to inspire donor to reach out helping hands inorder to save a life after his death. Along with transplantation this app focuses on blood bank transfer between the linked hospitals to help the patient recover Fastly by making the Required blood bank available for the patient.

HOW I BUILD THIS PROJECT:

We build this App Using Flutter Application in which the donor & reciever database part was made using Firebase Authentication & Firebase Realtime Database.

BENIFITS OF USING THIS APPLICATION:

Quick and timely access to donor records. Helps to create a Database Market Strategy for Organ donation all across the nation. Ability to perform hospital searching based on nearby city, state and required Organ. Help in getting organs to those, in utter need of organ. Provides instant Contact Information of Specialized doctors, Hospitals and NGOs. Provides facility for a person willingness to donate Organs to resister and appear in donor list. This will help many families to save their loved one’s life.

CHALLENGES FACED:

  • Managing the Donor & reciever database
  • Problems faced while Uploading Documents to Firebase
  • Problems faced while loading an image due to slow internet connectivity.
