Introduction

Hello everyone, I'm thrilled to introduce you to OrdSnap, the all-in-one MetaMask extension wallet for Bitcoin and Ordinals Inscription. Our team at OrdSnap was inspired to create a secure and user-friendly wallet that supports the Bitcoin Ordinals ecosystem.

Team

We are a team of experienced multi-chain wallet developers led by Bruce, with me as the Product Manager, and Hoiki as our front-end engineer. Our experience in developing wallets on other blockchains has led us to recognize the importance of Ordinals and the need to support it on Bitcoin.

Problem

As a multi-chain wallet focused on the Bitcoin Ordinals ecosystem, our user is anyone who wants to manage their crypto assets in a secure and easy-to-use wallet. Our biggest problem, which is also our killer feature, is that many users are hesitant to install new browser extensions for fear of compromising their security. This is where OrdSnap comes in - we leverage the power and trust of MetaMask to provide users with a secure and familiar wallet that supports both Bitcoin and Ordinals Inscription. By using MetaMask as the foundation of our wallet, users can feel confident in the security and legitimacy of OrdSnap, while also enjoying the convenience of managing their Bitcoin and Ordinals in one place. No longer do users need to worry about installing new, potentially unsafe extensions to their browsers. With OrdSnap, they can simply add our extension to their existing MetaMask wallet and enjoy a seamless experience.

To address these issues, we developed OrdSnap to enable users to use MetaMask directly and eliminate safety concerns.

We leveraged the powerful features of MetaMask Snap to create OrdSnap, an extension that integrates Bitcoin and Ordinals Inscription with the MetaMask wallet. Our team worked tirelessly to ensure that OrdSnap is secure, reliable, and easy to use for our users. Despite facing several challenges, such as ensuring high-level security while maintaining ease of use, we implemented robust testing and development procedures that helped us overcome obstacles and deliver a superior product. Users can easily download MetaMask Flask and install OrdSnap directly. OrdSnap is as safe as MetaMask wallet.

How to try it:

Download MetaMask Snap and DISABLE the old MetaMask before using OrdSnap because the Flask version is different from the original one. Don't worry about losing assets in the original MetaMask. You can re-enable it in the Chrome extensions page at any time.

Our future plans for OrdSnap include adding support for more Ordinals tokens and NFTs, making it an even more comprehensive wallet solution. Additionally, OrdSnap can support inscription of whatever you want directly through it. Our team will continue to prioritize user security and ease of use to ensure that OrdSnap remains the top choice for users managing their crypto assets. MetaMask Snap will also be launched in the main MetaMask by the end of 2023, which means users can use OrdSnap directly without installing MetaMask Snap.
