Inspiration

Inspiration When I first entered the crypto market in 2021, navigating DeFi applications felt overwhelming. Understanding how different protocols worked, tracking liquidity, and managing complex multi-step transactions was a steep learning curve. I realized there had to be a simpler way to interact with decentralized finance. We built Orbit AI to bridge that gap—turning complex, manual Web3 workflows into seamless operations executed through a single, intuitive prompt.

What it does

AI knowledge search engine that connects workplace tools (Slack, Notion, Google Drive, GitHub, Confluence) into a single search layer.

How we built it

Frontend: Built with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and ShadCN UI for a clean, real-time prompt interface. AI & Intent Engine: Powered by specialized LLM agents that translate natural language prompts into structured Web3 execution steps. Web3 Infrastructure: Integrated Viem / Ethers.js with smart contract abstractions to route and execute complex DeFi transactions on-chain. Backend & Caching: Utilized Supabase for auth and Upstash Redis to cache real-time gas fees, token routes, and protocol data.

Challenges we ran into

Translating flexible natural language into exact, fail-safe smart contract calls was our toughest hurdle,as we had to eliminate non-deterministic LLM output through strict verification layers before broadcasting transactions. Additionally, handling sudden gas spikes and liquidity shifts mid-execution required building real time transaction simulation checks, all while balancing frictionless automated execution with secure wallet approval guardrails.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

1-Prompt Web3 Execution: Successfully turning multi-step, confusing DeFi operations into a seamless experience executed via a single natural language prompt. Production-Ready Open-Source Launch: Building and shipping a fully functional, open-source SaaS architecture during the hackathon.

What we learned

We learned that AI cannot interact with Web3 safely without strict pre-execution simulation layers to validate transactions. Natural language intent radically simplifies complex DeFi workflows, but maintaining instant speeds requires aggressive routing caching. Ultimately, user trust relies on complete transparency—delivering human-readable transaction previews before any wallet signing.
