Inspiration
ORBIT was inspired by a problem I personally experienced: I could make plans for my week or month, but following those plans every day was much harder.
For example, I might plan a complete self-care routine for a week or organize everything I wanted to accomplish in a month. But when each day came, I would sometimes forget a task, miss part of my routine, or simply not know what I should focus on first. I realized that making a plan is not enough — the plan needs to become part of your everyday life.
That is where the idea for ORBIT started. I wanted to create one simple place that connects long-term goals, daily tasks, study, self-care, and motivation instead of keeping them in separate notes or apps.
What I Learned
While building ORBIT, I learned that good organization is not about putting more tasks on a list. It is about making the right task visible at the right time.
I also learned how small features can work together to create a more useful experience. A weekly goal can become daily tasks, personal care routines can be scheduled, and a bigger dream can stay visible as motivation. I wanted ORBIT to feel less like a strict productivity tool and more like a supportive companion.
How I Built It
I designed and built ORBIT as a study and life companion using Base44. I focused on creating a simple and cozy experience where users can manage their study sessions, goals, daily tasks, self-care routines, and motivation in one place.
One of the main ideas was connecting everything together. When users create a routine or schedule a task, it can become part of their daily To-Do List, so they do not have to remember everything themselves.
I also added an interactive character to make the experience feel more encouraging and personal. The character can accompany the user during study sessions and breaks, making productivity feel less lonely.
Challenges
One of the biggest challenges was deciding how to combine many different parts of life without making the app feel complicated. I wanted ORBIT to help users organize their lives, but I did not want it to become another overwhelming list of things they have to manage.
Another challenge was turning the original idea into a working and understandable user experience. I had to think carefully about how each feature connects to the others and how a user would move through the app naturally.
Building ORBIT taught me that a good project is not only about having many features. It is about solving a real problem in a simple and meaningful way.
ORBIT is my attempt to turn plans into actions — and make staying organized feel a little easier.
