Inspiration
Most people track their rent, their car, and their credit score in three different places. That makes it hard to see how one choice affects the others. A lease ending, a surprise repair, or a high card balance can throw off a whole budget. We wanted one place that shows where your money is headed, so you can see the cost of your next big decision before you make it.
What it does
Orbit puts your home, car, and credit in one dashboard. You can compare paths for your car, such as buying out a lease, re-leasing, or keeping it. For each path, Orbit shows the five-year true cost, a month-by-month savings forecast, and whether your savings can survive a surprise repair. A 12-month budget view shows the busy months, like holidays and trips. The credit gauge changes color from green to yellow to red, and it shows how paying down a card could raise your score. Cosmo, our assistant, answers questions like “Can I afford a $1,500 repair?” in plain English. We built three demo users: Alex has a strong cushion, Maya is a student with loans, and Dana lives close to paycheck to paycheck. With Orbit we can see the different plans and options based on their financial data like income, utilities, rent, gas/fuel, etc.
