Inspiration
Seeing the privacy controversies regarding existing period apps, while also noting that people of different cultures and languages lacked an option that represented them.
What it does
In the current version, orbit allows you to track your period and menstrual health data on device without sending data to a server. It also enables logging of 30+ symptoms as well as customization, educational content, smart insights, and exporting as a pdf.
How we built it
Using replit, opencode, and vs code with react-native and expo.
Challenges we ran into
Time and attempting not to over-inflate.

The process of selecting an idea, validating it by talking to others, and trying to finish minimal features before a deadline
What's next for Orbit
Adding the remaining features while also testing with others and gathering more feedback. Finding medical advisors and partnering with women's health organizations in order to five back.
