Inspiration
Millions of Sudoku puzzles are solved and then forgotten. Chess players keep their games; Orbace gives Sudoku players the same possibility. Every completed solve becomes a Su-Pu: a replayable, move-by-move record of placements, notes, corrections, and turning points.
What it does
Orbace Sudoku combines calm, teaching-first play with replay and competition:
- Solve featured Tea Moment puzzles or import any Sudoku.
- Preserve completed solves in a personal Su-Pu library.
- Replay the full solving path instead of keeping only the final grid.
- Enter official Ranking Games and compare progress globally.
- Unlock Grand competition access with an Annual Competition Pass or a non-renewing One Time Month Pass.
Payment never improves a player's score. RevenueCat-managed purchases determine access to premium competition; competitive performance remains skill-based.
How we built it
Orbace Sudoku is a Flutter mobile game published on Google Play. RevenueCat powers its live in-app purchase entitlements for both the recurring Annual Competition Pass and the non-renewing One Time Month Pass.
Challenges
The central challenge was making a Sudoku solve persistent without disrupting a calm solving experience. Orbace records enough information to reproduce the path accurately, then presents that record as an understandable replay. We also needed a monetization model that fits competitive Sudoku without becoming pay-to-win.
What we learned
Treating the solving path as a durable game record changes what Sudoku can be. Replays support reflection and learning, while persistent records make comparison and competition more meaningful.
What's next
We will keep improving Su-Pu replay, teaching tools, ranking events, and the connected web experience while expanding competition access across Android and iOS.
Solve the puzzle. Keep the path. Build your Su-Pu.
