Inspiration
What it does
Our SCARA-Arm tracks hand movement using OpenCV and
How we built it
Used OnShape to design and CAD 3D parts for the arm and base. Used Nema23 Stepper Motors, ESP32, Microstep Drivers,
Challenges we ran into
Some 3D printed parts being wrong, being held back by WiFi,
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Managed to create a project that fully functions and tracks hand movements while moving the arm simultaneously.
What we learned
Learned OpenCV, Inverse Kinematics, calculating Jerk, Initializing and creating a webpage
What's next for OR Light - TAMU Robotic Arm
OR Light could be improved on by adding multiple different arm angles to eliminate shadows. We could also add another axis of motion for the arm.
