Inspiration
The boredom during lockdown made us think of more and more innovative ideas on how we can use technology to build stuff that could be used in real life by users. Music rejuvenates our souls and excited us entertaining the whole mind and body completely. Thus we decided to build something that may help us give the kind of music that we want without much difficulty in searching through various similar kinds of songs.
What it does
The Music Website we made "Opus" provides you with different varieties of song playlists which are divided into different categories such as albums, artists, trending songs, romantic songs, etc. You can also search for song whichever you like and enjoy listening to it.
How we built it
We build it using JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XML, and a music API.
Challenges we ran into
The major challenge we faced was while implementing music API in our application. We also minorly faced challenges with designing a frontend environment.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The greatest accomplishment that we are proud of is that it is a complete app. We made it to the point that is so much close to a professional music application. Secondly, we discovered a lot of techniques for the UI design of the web page that made it so much attractive and different than the rest of the web applications. ## What we learned By building this web page we learned the use of APIs. We learned how we can use it to build real-world applications like a music web app similar to Spotify.
What's next for Opus
We will add more features to this app, covering a large audience with different music tastes. Improve the performance of this app and use algorithms to get better search results. We will try to make user login and all possible so that users can create their own playlist and make their favorites groups within the app.
