Summary
Surveys are one of the most widely used tools in research — but they’re broken. Participants rush through them, bots skew results, and researchers spend hours cleaning bad data. On top of that, building a high-quality survey takes too much time and often requires coding knowledge. We built Opus to fix that.
Opus is a gamified survey platform that improves both the quality and speed of data collection. It’s a two-sided tool: researchers create surveys using our no-code builder, and participants complete them in a fun, competitive environment. Rather than paying for simple completion, researchers reward participants based on the quality of their responses. Through variable payouts, attention checks, and gamified features like streaks and leagues, Opus makes taking surveys feel more like a game than a chore.
In our experiment, this model reduced low-quality responses by over 70% and cut collection time by 86%. By embedding engagement into every part of the process, Opus makes better data faster and easier to collect — helping researchers focus less on cleaning bad responses and more on generating real insights.
