Inspiration
We have always been interested in finances and the stock market, and had a vague knowledge of how trading worked, so we just jumped right into the challenge to learn about this world.
What it does
Utilized the arbitrage trading strategy which takes advantage of the inefficiencies of the financial market to make a profits.
How we built it
Planned and programmed the algorithm that implements the arbitrage trading strategy using the Optibook API and Python. We have taken into account certain cases in which we can obtain a benefit
Challenges we ran into
We were complete beginners in the world of trading and it was hard at first to understand the financial market and its strategies. Furthermore, we had a tough time making the code work because ran into all kinds of errors and had to take into the account all the edge cases.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're extremely proud of being able to create a working and profitable trading bot that was able to get into the top ranking of the participants bots profits. Know how to handle problems in such a short time
