OptiqAid combines the powerful sensors in modern iPhones with AI processing:

The camera captures what's in front of you
LiDAR creates a 3D map of your surroundings
AI analyzes the visual data to understand the environment
Voice responses deliver helpful information naturally

The app wirelessly streams camera and depth data to a backend system that uses AI to interpret the visual world and provide meaningful assistance.

🎯 Challenges We Ran Into

The biggest challenge? Campus WiFi! CometNet and UTD WiFi blocked the connection between our iPhone and MacBook. But we didn't give up—we found a creative workaround that made everything work seamlessly.
