Optimew Prime

Inspiration

Last year we did a project called angry cat productivity and so we wanted to make it angrier 😾 While eating lunch, we had a divine revelation: where we ate was a breeding ground for cat enemies: BIRDS 😺

What it does

Percy the cat chases pesky pigeons away! Say goodbye to pigeon poo on tables and chairs and unwanted avian contact near your food.

How we built it

Turtlebot3 with a LattePanda Leonardo running ROS Noetic for the chasing, and Pytorch for the seeing

Challenges we ran into

Debugging ROS with nano and trying to train our model with Tensorflow

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Setting up machine learning with Pytorch while fixing our malfunctioning camera

How to get robot to learn, chase and exterminate

Guns, spinning blades and whatever we can add to rid of those flappy thieves
