Inspiration
We were tired of seeing people work out hard but train wrong—wasting time, risking injury, and guessing instead of improving—so we built OptiGym to bring real intelligence into everyday workouts.
What it does
OptiGym uses AI and computer vision to analyze your form in real time, give instant feedback, and personalize workouts so every rep is safer, smarter, and more effective.
How we built it
We combined machine learning, pose detection, and a clean web-based interface to track movement, evaluate form, and adapt workouts dynamically based on user performance.
Challenges we ran into
Accurately detecting human movement across different body types, camera angles, and lighting conditions was brutal—and optimizing it to work smoothly in real time took serious iteration.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built a working AI fitness system that provides real-time form feedback, personalized training logic, and a polished user experience—not just a demo, but a real product.
What we learned
Good AI isn’t just about models—it’s about data quality, edge cases, UX, and making complex tech feel simple and helpful to real users.
What's next for Optigym
We’re expanding exercise coverage, improving accuracy, adding progress analytics, and pushing toward partnerships with gyms, schools, and fitness platforms to scale fast
