Inspiration
Modern SRE and DevOps teams operate in increasingly complex environments, where microservices, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines generate massive volumes of signals. Despite advanced observability tools, teams still face alert fatigue, fragmented workflows, and delayed response cycles. We were inspired to reimagine SRE operations—not as reactive incident handling, but as proactive, intelligent orchestration. The idea was simple yet ambitious:
What if AI agents could continuously understand system behavior, coordinate responses, and keep platforms resilient without constant human intervention?
This led to Opsymphony AI, an agentic control plane where reliability is not managed—it is orchestrated.at it does
How we built it
Opsymphony AI is an agentic SRE control plane built on UiPath Maestro Case that transforms complex workflows into self-healing, dependency-aware systems. Instead of treating alerts in isolation, our system:
Continuously analyzes system impact Maps upstream and downstream dependencies Validates deployment and runtime behavior Executes automated remediation and rollback strategies
At its core, every operational scenario is modeled as a dynamic case, where multiple AI agents collaborate to drive resolution while keeping humans in the loop where necessary.
Challenges we ran into
- Dependency awareness Mapping real-time upstream and downstream relationships across services required careful modeling and abstraction.
- Agent coordination Ensuring agents worked collaboratively (not redundantly) required:
clear roles shared context orchestration logic
- Balancing autonomy vs control We had to design:
safe automation boundaries human approval gates for critical actions
- Realistic SRE modeling Moving beyond simple “incident-response bots” to impact-driven, validation-first workflows was a key design challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Built a true agentic SRE control plane We moved beyond traditional alert-based tooling to design a system where multiple AI agents collaborate to orchestrate complex SRE workflows end to end.
Leveraged UiPath Maestro Case for real-world orchestration We successfully modeled SRE workflows as dynamic, non-linear cases—capturing real enterprise scenarios with human-in-the-loop decision points.
Shifted from reactive incident handling to proactive reliability engineering Instead of focusing on incidents and RCA, we introduced continuous impact analysis, dependency mapping, and validation-driven operations.
Designed a dependency-aware system Our solution continuously maps upstream and downstream service relationships, enabling more intelligent decision-making and targeted remediation.
Implemented autonomous validation and remediation workflows We integrated automated rollback, service restarts, and continuous validation pipelines—moving toward truly self-healing systems.
Unified fragmented DevOps tools into a single control plane Opsymphony AI acts as a central orchestration layer across observability, CI/CD, and infrastructure, reducing operational silos.
Balanced autonomy with human governance We designed safe execution boundaries with approval gates for critical actions, ensuring trust, compliance, and control.
Created a scalable, extensible multi-agent architecture Our modular agent design allows easy extension into new use cases like predictive reliability, cost optimization, and performance tuning.
Delivered a production-oriented, demo-ready system Rather than a conceptual prototype, we built a working solution aligned with enterprise expectations—handling complexity, coordination, and scale.
What we learned
Building Opsymphony AI taught us:
SRE is fundamentally a systems orchestration problem, not just monitoring Multi-agent coordination requires structured context sharing and state management Human-in-the-loop design is critical for trust and governance UiPath Maestro Case is highly effective for modeling non-linear, real-world workflows
We also explored how agentic AI + automation platforms can bridge the gap between prototype AI and production-grade systems.
What's next for Opsymphony AI
Opsymphony AI aims to become the autonomous reliability control plane for modern enterprises, where agentic orchestration replaces manual operations—enabling systems that are not just resilient, but self-aware, self-optimizing, and self-healing by design.
