Inspiration

Legal and civic processes often bury people in scattered requests, documents, and unclear next steps. Students, community teams, and small organizations need a practical way to turn complex issues into clear, accountable action.

What it does

OpsPilot turns complex requests into prioritized, explainable workflows. It helps organize intake, clarify ownership, surface next actions, and keep progress visible so teams can follow through reliably.

Legal-tech and civic use

The workflow layer is designed for applications such as legal-aid intake, civic-service triage, policy research coordination, and compliance follow-up. It does not replace legal advice; instead, it helps teams structure information and route work to the right human owner with transparent reasoning.

How we built it

The project is a Python and Streamlit workspace built with the AWS Strands Agents SDK and Amazon Nova Lite. It uses structured prompts and workflow logic to transform requests into practical operational plans, with Markdown-based project context and GitHub integration.

Impact

By making priorities, reasoning, owners, and follow-up steps explicit, OpsPilot gives legal-tech and civic teams a lightweight way to improve access, responsiveness, and accountability without hiding important decisions inside a black box.
