Inspiration
Operational and maintenance teams often have procedures spread across PDFs, spreadsheets, and internal notes. Finding the right instruction and turning it into an actionable plan takes time and can lead to inconsistent execution.
What it does
OpsPilot AI turns technical procedures into clear action plans and executable checklists. It answers questions using the provided operational context and highlights the source material behind each recommendation.
How we built it
The prototype combines a focused web interface with OpenAI-powered reasoning, structured prompts, and retrieval from technical reference content. The workflow is designed to keep humans in control: the user reviews the suggested steps before acting.
Challenges and learnings
The main challenge is balancing useful guidance with traceability. We learned that concise outputs, explicit assumptions, and source references make AI assistance more practical for real operational work.
What is next
Next steps include document ingestion, role-based workflows, approval history, and integrations with maintenance and quality systems.
