About the Project

Schools collect a huge amount of student information—attendance, test scores, assignments, and academic progress—but teachers and administrators often have to manually review this information to identify students who need help.

EduPilot AI acts as an autonomous student-support assistant.

A teacher or school administrator can ask something as simple as:

“Which students need attention this week?”

EduPilot investigates the available student data, looks for meaningful warning signs such as declining grades, poor attendance, or repeated missing assignments, and determines which students may need intervention.

But EduPilot doesn't stop at giving a report.

The agent can create an appropriate intervention plan, record the recommended action, prepare a parent or teacher follow-up message, and verify that the action was successfully recorded.

The goal is to move schools from reacting after a student is already struggling to identifying problems earlier and taking action sooner.

Example

A teacher asks:

“Check Grade 8 and identify students who need academic support.”

EduPilot may discover that one student has:

  • declining test performance
  • frequent absences
  • several missing assignments

The agent combines these signals, identifies the student as a high-priority case, explains the reasons, and creates a suggested intervention plan such as contacting the parent, arranging teacher support, and reviewing progress the following week.

Why an Agent?

Traditional school dashboards show information, but educators still have to interpret the data and decide what to do next.

EduPilot is designed to handle the complete workflow:

Investigate → Reason → Decide → Act → Verify

This makes it an AI agent that performs useful work rather than simply answering questions.

EduPilot is being built with Strands Agents for the Agents for Humans Hackathon.
