Inspiration
Student builders and small teams often have good ideas but lose momentum when requests, decisions, and follow-up actions are scattered.
What it does
OpsPilot is an AI operations workspace that turns unstructured requests into prioritized, explainable workflows. It clarifies ownership, surfaces next actions, and keeps progress visible.
How we built it
We built OpsPilot with Python and Streamlit, using the AWS Strands Agents SDK and Amazon Nova Lite. GitHub and Markdown-based project context keep the workflow transparent and repeatable.
Challenges we ran into
We focused on making AI-assisted planning useful without making the workflow opaque. The interface needed to stay simple for student and small-team users while still showing why work was prioritized.
Accomplishments
We created a working prototype that connects incoming requests to clear owners, next actions, and follow-up status.
What we learned
Good AI assistance should make decisions understandable and help people complete work, not just generate text.
What's next
We plan to add richer collaboration, more integrations, and reusable templates for student, community, and sustainability projects.
