By leveraging advanced AI algorithms, Oppur matches individuals with computer-based projects that align with their unique skills and attributes, thereby allowing them to gain valuable experience and build meaningful connections. With Oppur, students can overcome the challenges of finding relevant opportunities in the computer science field and take their first step toward a successful career.
What it does
Search for internships and student job positions with a UI similar to popular sites like Tinder.
How we built it
I used NextJS and Firebase, new technologies for me. It was a somewhat easy transition from previous react work.
Challenges we ran into
It was my first time using the Google auth feature so that was difficult at first to use. In addition, using the data was also somewhat difficult.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm proud of the accomplishment I was able to complete this on time as I did start later. I am also really proud of how I improved the project in almost all the ways possible.
What we learned
Other than learning how to do Google auth I learned a lot more about the nature of full-stack web development as I continued my knowledge in both front and backend technology with NextJS and Firebase.
What's next for Oppur
Moving forward, I aim to expand the range of resources accessible and facilitate networking between students with similar interests and skills. This will enable students to deepen their understanding of their desired industry and prepare them for interviews and job opportunities.
