Inspiration
Our inspiration came from the prompt of connection. Many of us have fond memories of bonding with out friends in middle and elementary school over games such as fireboy and watergirl and other 'couch co-op' games so we decided to hone in on that and make a similar two person one screen game. To reinforce this point, our game is also about connection: a person and a ghost finding their way back together.
What it does
Brings you and your friends closer together through the power of a silly little game.
How we built it
Using Godot, Github, and Redbull.
Challenges we ran into
Our biggest challenge this time around was definitely our choice to use Godot. None of use had any experience with it before and only a few of us had some unity experience so we took a big leap in learning a new engine. While it was hard it was definitely a lot of fun and we really enjoyed learning and using Godot. Other challenges include the common merge conflicts and human need for nourishment.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A working project! Version Control was also very good, as well as how happy we are with this being our first Godot experience.
What we learned
We learned Godot! and probably more about each other than we would like.
What's next for Opposites Attract
More levels, more objects, more difficulty, further expand on the story.
