The problem. Solo developers and freelancers face a flood of task boards: Superteam, HackerRank, Fiverr, dozens of niche bounties. Hundreds of new tasks every day. Winners don't just work harder — they work on the RIGHT things. But ranking "right things" across platforms by hand costs hours nobody gets paid for.

The solution. Opportunity Hunter is an autonomous Strands Agents SDK agent that runs the entire routine of a freelancer's hunt and hands the human the judgment calls:

  • Scan — pulls open tasks from live sources (with a bundled deterministic dataset as an offline fallback, so the demo never breaks).
  • Match — filters by skills and effort, dedupes.
  • Rank — a real Strands Agent (local Ollama phi4-mini, tool-calling) scores each task: Expected Value = prize × P(win), and returns an ordered shortlist with reasoning.
  • Draft — the same agent writes a targeted, natural-language application per opportunity (not a template — a genuinely written pitch).
  • Report — one Markdown dashboard: ranking, EV, links, applications ready to send.

Why it's honest. This agent literally runs for its own author every day — the shipped docs/opportunity_report.md is a REAL generated sample: HackerRank Orchestrate ranked #1 (EV $550) with its application drafted by the agent. The economics are brutal: $0 runtime cost, fully private (local model), no cloud dependency. And the architecture is production-ready for Amazon Bedrock AgentCore (swap the local model for a Bedrock model via AWS credits).

Track. Professional Agents — an agent that clears the busywork and protects the judgment calls. That's exactly the division of labor Opportunity Hunter implements.
