Inspiration
Inspiration came from the clinic. Two of our team members are residents in ophthalmology and we identified the need for easy access to tough case consultation.
What it does
It is a social network for ophthalmologists that allows for quick and easy case building and sharing, as well as tools that help reach a consensus on both diagnosis and management.
How we built it
We built a simple demo with html that showcases how it would work
Challenges we ran into
We did not have enough time to build a full mvp
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We identified ways in which we can easily reach consensus from a community of experts and pitched the idea to a renowned ophthalmologist from Johns Hopkins who told us it has great potential.
What we learned
We learned that this is indeed a viable solution to a pressing problem worldwide
What's next for Ophnet
Whether we win or not, we plan to develop this platform and put it to the test at our hope eye care hospital.
