🌟 Inspiration
Medical delays are often caused by poor coordination and scheduling conflicts. We were inspired to build a “Control Tower” system where every surgery is perfectly timed, surgeons’ workloads are clearly visible, and patient reports are instantly verifiable. Our goal was to create a solution aligned with the future of smart healthcare systems.
🚀 What It Does
OperationScheduler is an AI-powered surgical logistics platform that includes:
Command Center Dashboard: Real-time workload analytics with automatic conflict detection AI HealthBot: A bilingual (Hinglish/English) assistant that helps with bookings and FAQs Surgical Health Reports: Professionally structured reports with patient vitals and a blockchain-inspired QR verification system Smart Resolution System: An algorithm that detects and resolves temporal overlaps between surgeries Notification System: A simulation feature to send briefings and updates to doctors and senior staff 🛠️ How We Built It
We built the platform using React.js with Vite for fast development. Styling was done using Tailwind CSS v4, where we implemented custom glassmorphism and neon-glow effects for a futuristic UI. For data persistence, we used LocalStorage to ensure the project runs smoothly without server dependency during demos.
⚡ Challenges We Faced
One of the biggest challenges was maintaining performance while implementing sophisticated animations. Additionally, working with Tailwind v4’s updated utility structure required careful handling to achieve pixel-perfect design. We also focused on case-sensitive asset management and smooth logical state transitions.
🏆 Accomplishments We’re Proud Of
We are especially proud of the Command Center interface, which closely resembles modern hospital infrastructure. The QR Verification System adds a unique and advanced touch, something rarely seen in frontend-focused hackathon projects.
📚 What We Learned
Through this project, we learned the importance of visual hierarchy and micro-interactions. We also explored how to push CSS capabilities further and design complex workflows in a simple, intuitive way.
🔮 What’s Next for OperationScheduler Live PDF Generation: Integrating jsPDF to export reports as formal documents Resource Tracking: Monitoring availability of individual Operating Theater (OT) rooms Doctor’s Mobile Companion: A mobile app for real-time alerts and updates for surgeons
