We wanted to do something for ourselves and our future generations. To do that, we need to raise awareness about what's going on in our world, especially in our oceans.
By educating young people about endangered species through a fun and interactive learning game, we can achieve a greater consciousness of our own actions and big corporations' in affecting the oceans.
Using codex, github, and visual studio code, we vibe coded a game where you can guide your submarine to different fish in the sea and learn more about them. There are multiple choice options, free response questions, and also wikipedia articles connected to each icon that you will click on. Furthermore, there is a log that helps you keep track of all the fish you've met so far.
Due to some slowdowns from equipment as well as dealing with four people working at once, there was some confusion in the beginning. However, we managed to solve the issue and present a completed product in the end.
Working together was very productive and effective. Though we had not met before, our teamwork was very proficient and we agreed on the message we wanted to send.
We learned how to use codex to vibe code and also how to manage github better.
As the creators of Operation: Submarine, we hope to launch our product in the future with an even better premise and help protect our environment.
