There is a very easy solution to robo calls and harrassing calls. The infrastructure is already in place. There needs to be a series of numbers in place (similar to 911 or 411) that each person can press, either on their landline or cell phone, that would:
1.) report the offending caller number to the FTC, and 2.) permanently block that number from calling the number they just called.
For this to work, the phone networks need to work together to impliment this, and NO ONE should be able to hide their caller ID or phone number so that the numbers can be easily blocked.
This isn't rocket science. It can easily be done. No new technology is required.
