Inspiration
Our mission is to spread awareness as well as finding a solution of the waste epidemics that our country especially California which is facing a major drought.
What it does
With the idea of repurposing in mind, our app brings the community together to impact change within our own homes through recycling and reusing old items.
How we built it
We used HTML, CSS, Ruby on Rails, and launched the app using Heroku as a hosting site.
Challenges we ran into
Technical skills were lacking and pressured with a short time frame.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We learned how to create a functional page using Ruby on Rails and most importantly teamwork.
What we learned
We learned how to work in a group, improved our social skills and mobbing skills.
What's next for Operation Save Our Planet
Instead of focusing on what we can do in our own homes, our next step is to reach out to a more community-based event.
