Inspiration

We wanted to make a music composition application that allowed user to collaborate.

What it does

Open Music allows users to create, save and upload midi tunes to our Microsoft Azure database.

How I built it

We built in Android and used Microsoft Azure to store our song files

Challenges I ran into

The front end was harder than expected, because most of the interface was dragging and dropping, so it was hard to get the notes just right

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We mastered Microsoft Azure and the App icon looks really nice

What I learned

We all learned about sheet music, MIDI notation, Android Annotation, and Drag and Drop interfaces

What's next for Open Music

We plan to implement Version Control System so the user can revert to previous versions of their compositions
