Inspiration
We wanted to help students learn new topics and understand which careers match their skills, all in one place.
What it does
OpenDoor AI generates AI-powered study material and matches users' skills with suitable career profiles, showing their strengths and skills they can improve.
How we built it
We used Python, Flask, HTML, CSS, and the OpenRouter API to build the web application and its AI study feature.
Challenges we ran into
Connecting the features, handling form submissions, and fixing issues with skill matching and displaying results were our main challenges.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built a working application that combines AI-assisted learning with skill-based career discovery.
What we learned
We gained practical experience with Flask, API integration, form handling, and debugging a web application.
What's next for OpenDoor AI
We plan to improve career matching, expand learning resources, and make the application available online to more students.
