Inspiration
Most of the education software developed by 1 company. Replace it or extend it almost impossible. The open education protocol is an open standard skeleton. Easy to extend, easy to replace it and it's free. Unlike others it is optimized for the younger generation. Our aim is to take the burden off from the parents so they would not need to buy the latest new equipment. Clean code and simple way can help every gadget old or new to provide access to open education protocol.
What it does
-Manage the schools -Manage the classes. -Manage the teacher. -Help the schools to find the teacher. (with blockchain) -Help the teachers to find a school where there skills are needed. (with blockchain) -Help the schools to identify the parents. (with blockchain) -Help the schools to identify the children. (with blockchain) -Use AI to help the child to learn faster.
How we built it
We using nodejs in the class. In the school core should be laravel (or symphony). The blockchain currently just partly built most part is nodejs.
Challenges we ran into
A blockchain authentication in javascript. We made almost 5000 line on the classroom backend and we should be needing approximately an other 30000 line. We almost finished the classroom frontend. The design is under work.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
4 days ago that was just a forming plan. Now we know we want to build that platform.
What we learned
The current team is enough for a slow development. But with a good designer and 3 more developer we could work much faster.
What's next for Open Education Protocol
We want to find the way to launch open education protocol whether we win this hackathon or not.
