Inspiration

Our goal was to create a decentralized app that is like the TouchNGo eWallet but for cryptocurrency. We believe that cryptocurrency is the future of finance and wanted to create a platform that would make it easy and secure for people to store, manage, and transact their assets. We also wanted to build a platform that was accessible to anyone, regardless of their technical expertise or financial resources.

What it does

Opac1ty is a decentralized finance (DeFi) crypto wallet web application that allows users to securely store, manage, and transact their cryptocurrency assets. The platform provides users with a user-friendly dashboard that allows them to see their transaction history. Users can send and receive cryptocurrency, as well as trade it for other cryptocurrencies using the platform's built-in decentralized exchange.

How we built it

The Opac1ty platform was built using various technologies, including React, Hardhat, Solidity, Tailwind CSS, and other React libraries. These technologies were chosen for their ease of use, scalability, and compatibility with blockchain technology. The Giphy API was used to generate gifs based on keywords, providing a fun and interactive element to the platform. In addition, we implemented thousands of CryptoPunk profile pictures in the project's public folder, giving users a unique and customizable experience. We used Solidity version 0.8.17 and ethers.js version 5.7.2 to ensure stability and security in the platform, avoiding any potential unsolved bugs that may exist in the latest (beta) version.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges we faced during the development process was our lack of familiarity with blockchain technology and smart contract programming languages. However, we were able to overcome these challenges by doing extensive research and learning from online resources and the blockchain community.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

One of the accomplishments we are most proud of is the ability of the Opac1ty platform to send and receive cryptocurrencies, which was a big step in the development process. We also take pride in the fact that we were able to create a platform that is accessible and user-friendly, making cryptocurrency management more approachable for all users.

What we learned

Throughout the development process, we learned a lot about blockchain technologies, how they work, and the cryptocurrency scene. We also gained valuable experience in smart contract programming languages, as well as front-end web development and UI/UX design.

What's next for Opac1ty

Looking ahead, we have several features that we are considering implementing in Opac1ty, such as easily swapping one cryptocurrency for another using built-in decentralized exchanges, access to decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols for earning interest, borrowing, and lending cryptocurrencies, and a premium plan for users that provides additional benefits and features. We are also focused on expanding the platform's user base and creating partnerships with other blockchain-based companies to provide even more value to our users. Furthermore, users can create an account on the platform, securely log in, and start managing their cryptocurrency holdings.
