This project is an iOS app which allows its users to check conditions at NOAA sensor buoys. In creating this app, I wanted to show the data in a minimalist yet meaningful, functional yet beautiful way. The project is open source and the code can be found at github.com/asascience-open/oos-mobile

I have chosen not to create a video for what I learned from the development of this app, so I will write about it here.
What I learned from the development of this project is the importance of collaborating building on other's work. Creating this app would have been incredibly difficult without many people helping. Without the help of David Stuebe -- who gave me pointers in programming and Lisa Kinloch -- who designed the amazing icons. Several open source projects from Github were also used to aid in the development of this project. This app is also open source, and hopefully others will benefit from it in the future.
This project was created be me, Ryan Maciel, while interning at RPS ASA. I have given copyright to them, but I am the creator of all of the code. This document gives written permission for me to use the app for this contest: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q4gr7cu5cu7r4yz/HouseStudentChallengePermission.pdf
The video for the submission is protected with a password. This is the password: sourceShare12. If having the video locked is an issue please let me know and I will change it. You can contact me at rmepicwin@gmail.com with any concerns.
Special Thanks to: RPS for allowing me to work on this project with them. David Stuebe for programming guidance Lisa Kinloch for designing the great icons Mike Bostok for designing the D3.JS framework Tony Million for his Reachablity class
