Inspiration

The different image recognition models that exist out there.

What it does

It uses image recognition to analyze the average amount of cars on the road, and calculates it to a data set constant to estimate the average population of Vancouver based on how many cars there are on the road.

How we built it

We built a Computer Vision algorithm on Google Colab, and a simple website to display the population estimate.

Challenges we ran into

Linking the Google Colab and the Website together

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building a Computer Vision model in such a short period.

What we learned

How Computer Vision models work.

What's next for Oompa Loompa Population Tracker

Mainstreaming it and making it more precise.
