Inspiration
Web3 involves complex concepts and technical jargon that can be confusing for the average user and most applications often lack intuitive onboarding processes making it challenging for new users to get started. Learning the ins and outs of web3 can be an uphill battle. The protocols and their UIs are complicated, and there are risks of human error and scams such as phishing. As builders in this space onthis.xyz wants to enhance the user experience and reduce the barrier to entry and growth in Web3. We believe user experience should always be seamless.
What it does
OnThis is building shortcuts which are ENS domains to which users send ETH to human readable addresses to bridge, swap, stake and more directly from their wallets.
How we built it
A shortcut is a combination of 2 or more DeFi actions which are executed in one transaction. Each Shortcut is a smart contract which connects existing protocol functions together to execute a specific user intent.
So each shortcut = intent = deployed to a dedicated smart contract.
To execute a specific intent (e.g. bridge to L2 and stake on Beefy), you simply send ETH to that intent's shortcut smart contract address. Each deployed Shortcut Contract has a dedicated ENS domain, giving end-users ability to perform intents simply by sending ETH to human-readable addresses.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
100+ ETH inflow into our shortcuts. Formed partnerships with leading blockchain ecosystems such as Arbitrum, Polygon, Mantle, Base, and more.
What's next for Onthis
We have established strategic partnerships to develop convenient shortcuts, enhancing user interactions with a wide range of decentralized applications (dApps) within these ecosystems, seamlessly accessible directly from their wallets. Moreover, we're actively working on implementing an in-house point system designed to incentivize both creators and users of these efficient shortcuts.
