Inspiration

I am a student and have difficulties when trying to cook a recipe since I may not have the ingredients required as well as little experience in cooking.

What it does

It enables users to create their own recipes from a virtual fridge where they select the ingredients they have and may want to use in the recipe and after creating a recipe the calorie information about the recipe is also displayed along with its ingredients.

How we built it

I used react-native and java for the coding and used the Android Studio application

Challenges we ran into

There were difficulties in connecting the database.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Many people have accepted the system from a survey that was conducted by me.

What we learned

How to analyze what the problem is and how to solve the particular problem by interacting with the target audience.

What's next for Online Recipe Spinner Application

Connect the application to a physical fridge so that users can add or remove ingredients to and from the fridge and it would be automatically updated on the application and show the available ingredients at any moment.

Code example import * as React from 'react'; import { Text, View, TextInput,StyleSheet,TouchableOpacity,ScrollView} from 'react-native'; import {Container,Content,Icon,Header,Left,Right,Button,Body,Title,Fab} from 'native-base' import {MY_FRIDGE} from '../Utility/String' import styles from './MyFridgeStyle'; import {COLOR_PRIMARY,COLOR_WHITE,COLOR_SECONDARY,COLOR_GREY} from '../Utility/color' import DrawerHeader from '../common/DrawerHeader'; import AsyncStorage from '@react-native-async-storage/async-storage';

import { TagSelect } from 'react-native-tag-select'; import Accordion from 'react-native-collapsible/Accordion'; const data = { "Fruits" : [ { "id":11, "label" : "Apple" }, { "id":12, "label" : "Avocado" }, { "id":13, "label" : "Banana" }, { "id":14, "label" : "Bilberry" }, { "id":16, "label" : "Blackberry" }, { "id":17, "label" : "Blueberry" }, { "id":18, "label" : "Cucumber" }, { "id":19, "label" : "Grape" }
