Inspiration

To read or discover new books, you can usually go to the public library but during the confinement they are closed, or the access is restricted.

What it does

The proposal is to develop a community around a platform that offers books rental with a delivery service. To keep children and adults reading physical books.

How I built it

In a lean startup mindset, we want to quickly start an experience in a small city to better know our customers before scaling. The first offers will be based on local public libraries and volunteers for the collect and delivery. This experience should help us to identify the businesses and growth perspectives. The idea is to have a viable project helpful for the community not making profit.

Then we will complete the offer with a professional renting website in the respect of author right and collaboration with local partners to create synergy;

Delivery service is the key, we want to mobilize the public already attending libraries and appoint them to lead the local actions around a social network. The community will be rewarded with press subscription or early access to new books.

Challenges I ran into

Prospections on added value of a renting system & home delivery , financial investigation

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Contribution to children education during the covid crisis.

What I learned

In Europe, many different situations depends on the populations length, this project could be of great help for population < 30000 inhabitants with more limited cultural offer
