Inspiration:

The inspiration behind this idea was to revive the tradition of lemon stands that was a popular way for children to learn about entrepreneurship, marketing, and money management in a fun and engaging way. Over time, children have stopped interacting with the people around them and have become too engrossed with electronics and gadgets. By providing a platform that allows them to create their own online store and sell products, children can learn valuable skills such as product development, customer service, hone their communication skills, and give them a boost into the world of entrepreneurship.

What it does:

Our platform enables children to set up their own online stores. They get to design the look of their store through the templates available in the application, choosing the theme and layout. The children can either customise and sell products that are present in our catalog, or sell their own existing products through the store. The children can also learn about topics like finance, marketing, brand-building and a lot more, through short, interesting modules which are easily understandable. Overall, this application aims to inspire and empower children to pursue entrepreneurship and learn by doing. This application also provides an opportunity for children to exercise their creativity and express themselves through their products.

How we built it:

We used Vue JS to work on the front end, majorly our focus was on building an user friendly interface, We used Figma to design and make the prototype for our application. We focused on building an easy-to-navigate UI for the children, as well as

Challenges we ran into:

We struggled with making the app children-friendly and engaging for them. But we were able to overcome this after discussing and thoroughly ideating.

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

We are proud of finishing this project in just a span of 24 hours.

What we learned:

The most important thing we learnt was to work together as a team even in the midst of a time scrunch. We were able to delegate and divide tasks to work as efficiently as possible.

What's next for Online platform as first step to Entrepreneurship:

Next, we plan to conduct market research and interview children to get their feedback on how we can improve the features, or what features can be added. At the same time, we will keep improving and iterating the application with the feedback that we get.
