Inspiration
It was difficult to figure out the person online course according to my learning ability and interests. There was so many online courses but nobody gave any demo of the course before buying it and I had wasted my money but registering for the wrong online courses as there was no feedback for the courses.
What it does
This website provides the reviews and ratings of online courses that is taken from public opinion, people who had already enrolled for the course and who have completed them. The honest reviews and ratings from people who have enrolled into the course gives us an Idea and impression on it to enroll or not to.
The Website also displays the trending online courses, the latest online courses trending and most popular on platforms like Udemy, Coursera, Edx, Udacity, Skillshare. This will also suggest the best online courses and offer coupon codes too.
The Highlight of this website is that it allows Users to Upload their own courses with the link of the course, description, thumbnail, along with the screenshots and information, making low-profile online course content makers to upscale through our Medium.
Online Course Creators who are lagging behind and who have not been recognised and who are independent can display their online course on our site.
How we built it
We built the landing page of the website using HTML, CSS, Javascript and the main site was built using React JS and we used firebase for hosting our site.
Challenges we ran into
We had to collect a huge amount of online courses at the initial stage, figure out which one was the best and get ratings from users as well. We had to go through each online courses portal and find the best one and analyse it as well.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We have made a website that allows users to choose the best courses from platforms like udemy, coursera, edx, udacity, skillshare and many more before enrolling or paying the fee, now it will save our money, users can opt for the right online course that has right learning based on the experiences of past people who have enrolled for it and given their suggestions and opinions on the reviews / comments section of the courses on our platform. This would become the IMDB of Online Courses.
This will help online courses makers, teachers, lecturers to upload their course link, thumbnail and description on our platform even though their content is from Youtube or any other video streaming platform. Low profile online course content creators can get traffic to their course from our site and grow, there are many people who provide good content and better learning ideology but are not recognised, hence this reviews and ratings system will help them improve their stands.
We also provide the best, trending and most popular online courses as a separate section making it easier for users to choose the right course from the search bar and the one with the highest ratings.
What we learned
I learnt better desiging using CSS and we could get the fullest knowledge of HTML and React JS while building this site. We had gone through many online courses sites and read the reviews and we got to know what users want. I also understood the flaw in this system.

Online Courses Reviews, Ratings and Uploads Website ( i.e Uplesson ) will expand its site by providing suggestions and coupon codes, discounts to users also it will increase the popularity in the market making more users to upload their online courses and get real and honest feedback from public, the goal is to become the ImDb of online courses reviews and ratings. As we have got the trending section and will get interactive audiences we will sooner put up a stackoverflow or quora doubts sessions on the site. In Future we would also try to become a youtube website for online courses and educational content.
