Inspiration
We love to read books. When we started learning Web Development, we thought that we should keep a track of all the books that we read and also write a few lines on how we felt about the book. The book reviews website is then born.
What it does
This website consists of few book reviews of top authors. If someone wants to write a review, then they must login and write it. The responses get saved in our database and we can upload them to the website.
How we built it
The tech stack used are HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Initially, we collected some book reviews online, gathered beautiful pictures of the books and updated them into our website.
Challenges we ran into
Fixing the UI is a major issue and we're still stuck at some parts of it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Looking at the beautiful website makes us feel so happy. The feeling that we built everything from scratch makes us feel proud. The UI is responsive and honest feedback from friends make the work satisfactory.
What we learned
Everything is built from scratch, so we got to learn so much about Web Development. Every time the deployment was successful, it only cheered us up and pushed us forward to add some more amazing features.
What's next for Book Reviews
Right now adding book reviews is a static process. In future we want to make it dynamic. The users can instantaneously publish the reviews, and other users can comment on it and share their views with each other.
In future, the website can be upgraded so that buying/selling of books can also be done.
