Onion or Not Onion

Inspiration

Fake news is prevalent on the internet. We wanted to see how make people aware of how credible the news is on the internet and to think for themselves.

What it does

It allows the user to decide whether or not a news article headline is real or satirical.

How we built it

We built this website using google app engine, python, html, and javascript.

Challenges we ran into

Lack of previous knowledge of css, html, and python.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Finishing the website in due time with 8 hours of sleep.

What we learned

How to connect the frontend and the backend of a project to make a website that is visible to everybody on the net.

What's next for Onion or Not Onion

Allow for user feedback and comment sections.
