Inspiration

We wanted to make investing easier for people who find financial decisions confusing. Many investors struggle to understand their portfolios, identify risks, and access personalized financial insights without paying expensive subscription fees. This inspired us to build OneVest.

What it does

OneVest is an AI-powered investment platform that brings multiple investments together in one place. It helps users understand portfolio performance, analyze risks, and access personalized financial insights. With x402 and the Algorand blockchain, it also supports pay-per-use payments for specialized AI services.

How we built it

We designed OneVest around AI-powered financial intelligence, portfolio analytics, and blockchain-based payments. We integrated the x402 payment protocol to enable on-demand payments using USDC on Algorand, with spending limits and user authorization to help users stay in control.

Challenges we ran into

One of our main challenges was understanding how to connect AI services with blockchain payments and make the payment flow simple for users. We also had to think about payment authorization, spending limits, and making financial insights easy to understand.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to bring AI-powered financial insights and blockchain-enabled payments together in one project. Our biggest achievement is exploring a model where users can access specialized AI services when they need them instead of depending entirely on monthly subscriptions.

What we learned

We learned more about AI-powered financial analysis, the x402 payment protocol, and the use of Algorand for blockchain-based payments. We also learned how important it is to design technology around real user needs rather than adding features just because they sound impressive.

What's next for OneVest

We plan to improve portfolio tracking, make AI-generated insights more personalized, expand the range of specialized financial services, and strengthen payment security. We also want to make OneVest more accessible to beginners through a simpler interface and clearer financial explanations.
