Inspiration

The internet has a ton of learning resources to learn about the latest technology fields and become job-ready, but with free resources comes confusion, which course/resource are the best and where to find them. Ever been there? Yes, we have. OneStopCS is our hack to solve this problem.

What it does

So we've come up with a hack that has all your resources in one place, be it for Web Development or Android Development or any other field in demand. OneStopCS provides roadmaps and resources in a structured order to accelerate one's learning phase. We have all types of resources, from Documentation, Courses to Practice problems and Project Ideas. The roadmaps are specially made keeping in mind newbies, they can head over to the ROADMAPS and instantly know where to start from. The resources are also divided based on level of expertise, hence it is very welcoming to All levels of coders.

How we built it

We initially planned out the structure of the site based on available data and coded using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap.

Challenges we ran into

This was the first hackathon experience for all of our team members, and hence time management was a challenge for us. To address it, we divided our tasks equally and were ready to delegate tasks to let everyone perform their best.

Another major challenge we ran into was implementing our idea, ie. structuring our resources and accordingly linking our codebases, but we were eventually able to figure it out with some creative discussions. We got to learn the organization of data and the importance of pre-planning. Overall it was a great hacking experience!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to successfully complete 90% of the idea, that too in our first hackathon.

What we learned

  • Pre-planning is really important
  • Task delegation is an important skill
  • Though we couldn't integrate authentication, we are excited to learn more about how to integrate it for our future hacks
  • Time management

What's next for OneStopCS

  • We are looking to integrate the Login feature and Kanban boards such that each user can keep track of their learning and also be consistent
  • To add more better and recommended resources to the site
