We built a prototype demonstrating a comprehensive app that rapidly checks-in users, logs their usage, and conducts lightweight analytics. This enables NPOs to track usage of services, maintain records on individual clients, and conduct rapid grant-ready analytics to raise funds. Through an "anonymous intake form", there is also an option for logging usage without identifying unique users.
Built for case managers, volunteers, and management at NPOs, this is the "One Stop" for managing a Homeless NPO's software needs. Through consolidating information that was originally in staff memory, notebooks, and ad-hoc paper logs, this significantly reduces admin overhead and allows more time to be spent servicing guests.
We were inspired by the NPO's lack of lightweight operations and measurement tooling. They needed grant-ready and funder-facing metrics, yet traditional ID systems and sign-in forms contradict their low-barrier walk-in model. Inspired, we built CDCW OneStop, a single local web app that consolidates client intake, profile management, token/QR-based check-in, fast service logging tied to inventory, analytics dashboards, and exportable reporting.
• Front desk check-in: enter token or scan QR, verify, and log a “Check-in” event. • Rapid intake: optional fields, or an anonymous flow if not provided name/nickname, with basic duplicate warnings. • Station logging: volunteers log services (kitchen/hygiene/clothing/programs) with quantities; each event updates inventory in the background • Manager view: dashboards and reports (KPIs, demand trends, top services, low stock, monthly snapshots, and exports)
