Inspiration

We have gained inspiration from the intention to help humans meet one of their basic needs which is security. A patient in a hospital is often unaware of who has been visiting him due to various factors like medication, unconsciousness, etc. It is to help them and their loved ones overcome the fear of not being safe which has driven us to solve this problem.

What it does

This app maintains an entry log of all the people who entered the room and keeps a note of who they are, the task they performed, etc, and lets patients and parents monitor them. It also provides an option to reach out to the nursing center if the parents have observed any emergency or assistance required by the patient in their absence. It also integrates the post-discharge medication related documents to avoid any kind of confusion which would hinder the patients recovery process.

How we built it

We have initially brainstormed what exactly is the problem being faced by the patients/parents. We recognized their pain-points and made a rough solution for them. Then we made the UX of the app using Figma through which we prototyped how our device would look and feel like. Next, we started working on developing a scalable app using flutter.

Challenges we ran into

During this process, some challenges we ran into were ambiguity regarding what the actual problem is and lack of knowledge to develop the required solution.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Some accomplishments we are very proud of are our teamwork. We gave each other enough time to learn new stuff, while going through the learning curve we also made sure that the concrete for our idea was ready and we then started working on details.

What we learned

We learned flutter from scratch in12 hrs and the hackathon environment has got the best out of us. We started of by splitting tasks but then once we found out what our real strengths were we were really flexible and adaptive.

What's next for Oneportal

What's next is to justify the name. One single portal to help hospitals, patients, and parents monitor anything and everything related to health care.
