Inspiration

Traveling from Philly to SBU meant looking through various different websites, and planning so that we were able to make it on time to three different forms of transportation. With OneLine, this process can be done through our website so that the only thing left for users is to book.

What it does

Our website looks through all of the timetables provided within the major east coast transit providers and plans an optimized route for users on how to get there when it involves transfers.

How we built it

We were able to create our app with the help of Claude and ChatGPT, using TypeScript, JavaScript, and CSS.

Challenges we ran into

One of the problems we faced was actually working together on a project like this. To solve it, the three of us worked on separate branches where we could each commit and push changes without causing errors to the other two users.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are super proud of the product we built and how it's able to accurately collect data for us.

What we learned

Throughout this process we learned how Hackathons actually run, and how to leverage AI to efficiently complete tasks.

What's next for OneLine

OneLine is still limited to the transit providers we chose, and so we want to expand OneLine to the entire east coast, and then to the entire United States.
