Inspiration
It can be difficult to shop online today. It is even more difficult for disabled people. For visually impaired people, online shopping isn't fun or as independent as they'd have loved it to be. Even screen readers are limited in their capabilities. Customers often get lost in their searches, feeling more confusion than before the search started. I wanted to contribute towards making the shopping experience more worthwhile for the disabled with particular focus on the visually impaired
What it does
How about a single search bar for an online shop landing page. No cluttered web pages. With multilingual semantic search, product search isn't just a mapping to tags on a product, It is a complete contextual search experience. By representing product descriptions as vectors such that similar descriptions have close vector representations, a user's search can be more dynamic than searching products by price and then by color and then by delivery time. A simple 'I have a wedding to attend. I am 5'11. I have a red trousers and would love a blazer jacket. I don't have a color in mind. I want something around 100 dollars with size 34 cm at the waist and delivered next week' can return the closest product descriptions that meet this detail and still suggest a color for him. The witty and detail-oriented brands will have better product descriptions thus incentivizing every brand to follow suit.
